Right-wing sources used to attack Obama

For my own general amusement, I'm compiling a list of right-wing sources used to attack Barack Obama by Democrats. I'm certainly not violating the site guidelines or trying to call out other diarists. I love you, other diarists! I'm just laying out some amusing facts for you folks. The following sources were used as unbiased authorities on Obama. They were used with no apparent sense of irony:

Jonah Goldberg (The tool who wrote "Liberal Fascism")
Judicial Watch (Conservative watch group - funded by conservatives)
Debbie Schlussel (Started the "Obama a Muslim" smear)
Sean Hannity (Neanderthal with Nazi ties)
Bill O'Reilly (Falafal Guy)
Bill Kristol (Biggest neocon to ever live - and a jackass)
Charles Krauthammer (Right-wing columnist)
NewsMax (nutty site)
FOX News (Propaganda arm of the GOP)
American Spectator (Nutty magazine that went after Clintons in the 90s)
Peter Wehner (White House flak)
Ed Koch (former Democrat who supported Bush in 2004)
Taylor Marsh (Out of work anti-Obama radio host who regularly calls Obama "dangerous")

Am I missing anyone? Please help me in the comment section and I'll add them to the diary.

PS: I love all my fellow Clinton bloggers and diarists. They are a credit to the human race. But I just want them to use better sources. Heck - I'm an Obama supporter, but I could make up a user name and attack Obama more effectively than half of you folks. Here are some helpful guidelines:

1. Don't quote right-wingers.

  1. Don't call Obama crazy names. Avoid "liar" or "hypocrite".
  2. Attempt to purvey a sense of lucidity. You want people to sincerely believe that you are not actually typing these screeds while heavily intoxicated or suffering a through a manic depressive or psychotic episode.
  3. Occasionally try using periods.

Now get to it, eager beavers! Together, we can raise the Obama bashing discourse from barely coherent rage to focused and determined opposition!

Re: Right-wing sources used to attack Obama (none / 0)

Perhaps someone need to do a list of the right wing sources used to attack Hillary but I suspect it would be too long to post and might crash some computers.

Get real...

Re: Right-wing sources used to attack Obama (2.00 / 1)

Go for it! Which Democrats are using right-wingers (with no disclaimer. With no hint of irony or a "take this with a grain of salt")?

I'm sure it happens occasionally. Go for it!

Two wrongs don't make a right.

Re: Right-wing sources used to attack Obama (2.00 / 1)

I actually challenge you to do that,

if any posters on MyDD  are using rightwing sources to attack a democrat, they should be called on it.

we have 1 for Obama now we need a thread for Hillary and we should rec them both so they both can be seen.

Hillary supporters sound like a good idea?

Re: Right-wing sources used to attack Obama (none / 0)

you probably should start linking diaries and posts that use them so no one can charge that you are lying, or saying that its obama supporters doing it to make Hillary supporters look bad

Given Obama's liberal use of folks like Novak... (none / 0)

To attack Clinton...sympathy is not forthcoming from this quarter...

Re: Given Obama's liberal use of folks like Novak. (none / 0)

once again this diary is posters on THIS site using right wingers to attack obama, we aren't talking about the actual campaigns

its basically saying when you post HERE lets not post right wingers ok?

when then heck did they become credible? if Hillary wins and they turn on her are they still credible? lets not even go down that road and leave them out.

i have advise for you too (none / 0)

don't tell me what to do. mind your own business - dailykos waiting for you. i don't want to argue with you and unite with you. and i don't want your vote and support. Obama divided us and people like you killed my wish to reunite.

Re: i have advise for you too (none / 0)

To echo what Truthmatters said:

When Hillary Clinton loses, a few months later, she'll call for unity. And you'll look...well...petty.

Re: i have advise for you too (none / 0)

you said: "When Hillary Clinton loses"; we heard this 3 times already; you are all begging her to quit, because you cannot win without her quitting.
And what unity we talking about if you hating her so much? It is like you will hit my left cheek and I will give you my right cheek because of what?
You told us many times how you hate her and how bad she is and now you want to unite with her? Where you came from? What planet?
I remember what Bush did to McCain in Carolina in 2000 and you expect everybody to be as slave as McCain?
Good luck comrade: you can wait for her to ask for unity like you probably waiting for Gore to endorse ...

Re: Right-wing sources used to attack Obama (none / 0)

Thanks for the advice. Now advice for Obama supporters:

1. Don't quote right-wingers.

2. Don't call Clinton crazy names. Avoid "liar" or "hypocrite".

3. Attempt to purvey a sense of lucidity. You want people to sincerely believe that you are not actually typing these screeds while heavily intoxicated, suffering from delusions of grandeur, or under the age of 13.

4. Occasionally try using periods and capitalization. (And maybe learn to make your numbered lists line-up correctly.)

Amazing how these guidelines apply to both sides equally, huh? Thanks for playing!

Lakersfan, what right-wing sources have Obama supporters been using?

Re: Right-wing sources used to attack Obama (none / 0)

Don't have time to do the research, but off the top of my head I can name the most obvious ones:

Robert Novak
Karl Rove
Rush Limbaugh

Thanks for asking.

You are absolutely correct. (none / 0)

The use of ridiculous sources like World Net Daily cannot be forgotten.  The use of those right-wing sources is simply disturbing, and becoming increasingly acceptable amongst the likes of Marsh Limbaugh and her ditto-heads.

I'm still praying that prominent pro-Clinton bloggers will wake up and remind their comrades that we are still Democrats.  DEMOCRATS.  Not Republicans.

Re: You are absolutely correct. (none / 0)

Yeah. Taylor Marsh's comment section is either one of the funniest or scariest places on the internet.

Re: Right-wing sources used to attack Obama (none / 0)

Are you all paid bloggers that come here with the latest round of talking points?

It's almost sad....it's like the notes are passed and BAM....3, 4,  all coming with the same talking point.  LOL

by LindaSFNM on Wed Mar 26, 2008 at 06:50:22 PM EST

I can't buy that... (none / 0)

I think we are all aware of the irony of using these sources, but even a stopped clock is right twice a day, and we have just hit one of those two moments.

I cite these sources, but I fact-check them before I do so.  Unfortunately, there is no such thing as unbiased media anymore.
